Erykah N. Benson

I'm a sociologist studying the changing dynamics of inequality, racism, and technology at the University of Michigan. 

I am grateful to have my research supported by the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship, the U-M Population Studies Center, and the U-M National Center for Institutional Diversity.

In addition to a background in academic research, I have experience in non-academic writing, geospatial analysis, survey design, and qualitative research. 

My work has appeared in The Detroit Free Press, Bridge Detroit, and CBS News Detroit.
